Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Panehand is a window management app for macOS. Your privacy matters, so the short version is: Panehand does not collect, store or share any personal data.

Data on your Mac

Your layouts and keyboard shortcuts are stored locally on your Mac, inside the app's sandbox container. They are never sent anywhere. You can export and import them yourself as a JSON file.

Moving windows

Panehand moves and resizes windows of other apps through a shortcut that you add to the Shortcuts app, and asks for permission to run it. It only reads the position and size of windows and the identifiers of running apps, and only when you apply a layout, use a snap shortcut or capture a window's current position. This information is never stored outside your layouts or transmitted.

No tracking or analytics

Panehand contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or third-party tracking SDKs, and it does not connect to any server operated by us.

Purchases

Optional tips are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Children

Panehand does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date.
